This is a story of friendship between Marian Wlosinski, a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow and an artist in sanatorium in Krynica, and based on true story of life of Epifan Dworak, a primitive painter known as Nikifor from Krynica. On April 15, 1960, Nikifor came to Wlosinski's studio and said: I will paint here! He came to stay for a little while, but he reminded for the rest of his life. The film shows the period of three months of 1960 and two days in 1967 when the great exhibit of Nikifor's works was opened in Zacheta, Warsaw, as well as the one day of 1968 - Nikifor death's day.
The film tells about artist's spirituality and his personal freedom which allow him to create works of the best quality.

Historia przyjaźni Mariana Włosińskiego, absolwenta krakowskiej ASP, plastyka Dyrekcji Domów Zdrojowych w Krynicy, z kalekim malarzem analfabetą. Oparta na autentycznych zdarzeniach z życia Epifana Drowniaka, genialnego malarza prymitywisty znanego jako Nikifor Krynicki. 15 kwietnia 1960 do pracowni Włosińskiego przyszedł Nikifor i powiedział - Tutaj będę malowała! Przyszedł na chwilę i pozostał do końca życia. Akcja obejmuje trzy miesiące 1960 roku oraz dwa dni w 1967, kiedy otworzono wielką wystawę dzieł Nikifora w Zachęcie, oraz jeden dzień w 1968 - dzień śmierci Nikifora.
Film o duchowości artysty, który dzięki wewnętrznej wolności tworzy dzieła najwyższej próby.

KRZYSZTOF KRAUZE

Born in 1953. Graduate of the Lodz Film School in 1978. He made his debut in the Lodz Se-Ma-For Film Studio. In 1979-1980 he was a vice-president of the Section of The Young in the Association of Polish Filmmakers and in1989-1995 he was a member of the Board of the Association. He has made many short feature films, e.g. "Declination" ("Deklinacja"), "Vermin" ("Robactwo"), "It is" ("Jest"). He has directed several TV Theatre plays and made commercial spots.
