Młody ksiądz Jan zajmuje się uzależnioną młodzieżą. Metody, jakie stosuje w pracy duszpasterskiej i fakt, że jest zżyty ze środowiskiem narkomanów, nie podobają się jego przełożonym. Kiedy więc otrzymuje polecenie podjęcia studiów w Rzymie, jest pewien, że to próba odsunięcia go od wiernych. Ale przyczyna jest zupełnie inna. Badania krwi wykazały, że Jan jest nosicielem wirusa HIV. Wiadomość ta całkowicie odmieni jego życie...

Andrzej Seweryn

Born in 1946 in Heilbronn, Germany. Film and theatre director, actor, educator. Graduated from the Warsaw National Academy of Drama (Acting) in 1968. Member of Ateneum Theatre in Warsaw, 1968-1980. Immigrated to France in the early 80-ties where he acted in Odeaon and Chaillot theatres in Paris and TNP in Lyon. In 1993 he began working with Comedie Francaise where he is now member of its board. Best known for his film roles in films of Andrzej Wajda: The Promised Land (Ziemia obiecana, 1974), Rough Treatment (Bez znieczulenia, 1978), The Conductor (Dyrygent, 1979; Silver Bear Award for the Best Actor at the Berlin IFF), Man of Iron (Czlowiek z zelaza, 1981), Danton (1982), Pan Tadeusz (1999), The Revenge (Zemsta, 2002). He taught in the Warsaw National Academy of Drama and the National Academy of Art and Theatre in Lyon. Currently a professor in the Paris Conservatoire. He received numerous acting awards including award for the best actor in France in 1996. Honored with Order of the Cross "Polonia Restituta" (1997) , Order of Art and Literature (1994), Order National du Merite (1999) and Legion d'honneur (2005). Recipient of the "Wings" Award from the Polish Film Festival in America in 2000.
