Anna,
Maggie, and Ilona are three women all living in rural
areas on the outskirts of Poland. Anna wants to be a
hair dresser, Maggie dreams of leaving home and seeing
the world, and Ilona desperately hopes for a better
life for her and her son. Each woman decides to take
a trip to Warsaw (a city they've only encountered through
their television screens), with the hope of changing
their futures. Warsaw Available is a documentary about
the dramatic social divisions in modern Poland. It delves
into the question of identity, trying to determine how
much of a person is simply where they're from and the
context they were raised in. A personal account of three
lives trying to make sense in a world beyond their understanding.
