Polish Film Festival in America Announces Locations
Saturday, November 3 - Sunday, November 18, 2007

The Polish Film Festival in America (PFFA) announced that screenings for the 2007 festival will be held at five well-appointed cultural venues in the chicagoland.

The Opening Night Gala is scheduled for Saturday, November 3, 2007 in the Copernicus Foundation Theatre, 5216 W. Lawrence Ave. The historic cinema palace built in 1929-1930, the first sound movie house in Chicago, is located at the crossroads of Edens and Kennedy Expressways; it accommodates a 1,930-seat capacity and offers ample free parking. The Opening Reception will take place in the 1112 Gallery of the Society for Arts, 1112 N. Milwaukee Ave. Free shuttle bus will be available between 1112 Gallery and the theatre.

Closing Night festivities complete with award ceremony will be held on Sunday, November 18, 2007 in Portage Theatre, 4050 N. Milwaukee Ave. Recently reopened after immaculate restoration, the 1929 theatre features a 1350-seat auditorium and is easily accessible from public transit. Plus, there are numerous public parking facilities within walking distance.

The Festival's host theatre and primary location for screenings of documentary films is the Society for Arts' Gallery Theatre, 1112 N. Milwaukee Ave. The elegant digital Gallery Theatre is minutes away from downtown Chicago and it is central to every Festival event. The luxury, 75-seat auditorium is located inside an art gallery that also features a cafeteria and reserved parking for special events.

Other venue hosting PFFA screenings is the Beverly Arts Center, 2407 West 111th Street, a 400-seat modern auditorium, which also offers an ample free parking.

Wilmette Theatre, 1122 Central Avenue in Wilmette, is a new edition for the PFFA screenings. Considered one of the most ambitious commercial theatres in the northern suburbs, it accommodates 200-seats. Off street parking is available.

Ticket prices will be available soon. A complete programming and a listing of the PFFA Official Guests will be announced on October 5, 2007. For more information, call the PFFA at 773-486-9612, visit the official website www.pffamerica.com, or send an email message to pffamerica@pffamerica.com
